Sonia ZOUAOUI

At its Ad hoc Meeting held on 13 October 2025, the ALSF Governing Council (“Council”) appointed  Ms. Sonia Zouaoui  as member of the ALSF Management Board for a three-year term effective from 24 October 2025.

Ms. Sonia Zouaoui  is a senior official in the Tunisian public administration with over two decades of experience in international cooperation, legal affairs, and development finance. She previously served as Director General for Cooperation with Arab and Islamic Financial Institutions at the Tunisian’s Ministry of Economy and Planning, where she oversaw financing negotiations and portfolio management with key multilateral institutions, including the Islamic Development Bank.

Currently, Ms. Zouaoui serves as Director General for Legal Affairs and Litigation. In this capacity, she has led the drafting of national legislation, coordinated the ratification of international agreements, and provided legal advice on economic and institutional reform projects.

Ms. Zouaoui is a graduate of the École Nationale d’Administration and the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of Tunis, Ms. Zouaoui has represented Tunisia in high-level negotiations with international partners such as the African Development Bank, the World Bank, and the European Investment Bank. Her career reflects a strong commitment to advancing governance, legal reform, and sustainable development in Tunisia.
