The ALSF’s Support to The Gambia in the Power Sector: NAWEC Issues RfQ for 30MW Thermal Power Plant

Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, 05 November 2020 - As part of efforts to displace the reliance on expensive emergency power in The Gambia, The Gambia National Water and Electricity Company Limited (NAWEC) intends to select an independent power producer (IPP) to develop a 30MW dual fuel (HFO/gas) power plant (Project).

NAWEC, with the support of the African Legal Support Facility, has issued a Request for Qualification (RfQ) for the Project. The RfQ response deadline is 3 December 2020.
