The ALSF successfully supports the Union of the Comoros in contract negotiations in the extractive sector

October 2025 – Union of Comoros - TGS: Seismic Data Framework Agreements Signed with ALSF Support

The African Legal Support Facility (the “ALSF” or the “Facility”) played a key role in supporting the Union of the Comoros during its negotiations with the TGS company, a global provider of seismic data acquisition, processing and commercialization services in the oil & gas sector.

This support led to the conclusion of a framework agreement and an implementation agreement governing the acquisition and marketing of the seismic data. These agreements, approved by the Council of Ministers and signed on September 30, 2025 by the Comorian authorities and TGS, represent a major milestone in the country’s strategy to better develop and management of its natural resources.

Through this initiative, the Union of the Comoros strengthens its capacity to harness its extractive resources in a sustainable and strategic way, while ensuring a robust and balanced contractual framework.

The ALSF extends its sincere appreciation to the Comorian authorities for their trust, and to all teams and experts involved, whose professionalism and commitment made this achievement possible.
