Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, 21 March 2025 - The ALSF and the Côte d’Ivoire Bar Association have officially signed a memorandum of understanding, marking a significant step forward in strengthening legal capacity in Côte d’Ivoire.
Faced with increasingly complex legal and economic challenges, the consolidation of a robust legal ecosystem is crucial. Through this partnership, the ALSF will support Ivorian lawyers by offering them specialized training tailored to the realities of major international negotiations, innovative legal tools to strengthen their ability to defend national interests, and privileged access to a pan-African network of experts, thus promoting experience sharing and professional synergies.
The goal of this partnership is to consolidate the strategic role of Ivorian lawyers in complex negotiations, by providing them with the skills and resources they need to meet the challenges related to development on the African continent. It also highlights ALSF’s commitment to building a modern, resilient and influential African legal framework.
We express our deep gratitude to the President of the Bar Association, Mrs. Florence LOAN-MESSAN for her leadership and vision in this ambitious initiative, which lays the foundations for an innovative and successful legal framework in Côte d’Ivoire.
