Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, 13 March 2024
ALSF successfully assisted the Union of Comoros in resolving a long-running dispute with a private operator over an infrastructure project.
ALSF assisted the Union of Comoros in the out-of-court settlement of a dispute with a private operator who had submitted a request for arbitration claiming a considerable amount before the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
ALSF supported the Government during complex negotiations which culminated in an out-of-court settlement in January 2024. As a result of this agreement, the private party's claims were significantly reduced to a sum affordable to the Government of the Union of Comoros. In addition, the request for arbitration has been withdrawn from the Court of Arbitration.
